JIPMER Faculty Vacancy 2025: List

Eligibility Criteria:

Age Limit:

As on 01/07/2025: Professor: Not exceeding 58 years; Assistant Professor: Not exceeding 50 years. Relaxations: 5 years for SC/ST (reserved posts), 3 years for OBC (reserved posts), as per GoI norms for PwBD and Central Govt. servants (in same/allied cadres).

Educational Qualifications:

Professor of Microbiology:

(1) Medical: MBBS (recognized by IMC Act, 1956), MD in Microbiology.
(2) Experience: 14 years teaching/research in Microbiology post-MD.

Assistant Professor of Microbiology:

(1) Same as Professor.
(2) Experience: 3 years teaching/research in Microbiology post-MD.

Professor of Pharmacology:

Medical: (1) MBBS (recognized by IMC Act, 1956), MD in Pharmacology.
(2) Experience: 14 years teaching/research in Pharmacology post-MD.
Non-Medical: (1) Master’s in Pharmacology/allied subjects, Ph.D.
(2) Experience: 14 years teaching/research post-Ph.D.

Selection Process:

Shortlisting based on qualifications, experience, and publications.
Personal interview or online video conferencing.
Written exam may be conducted if high application volume, at JIPMER’s discretion.
No TA/DA for interviews.

Application Fee:

UR/OBC/EWS: Rs. 1,500 + transaction charges.
SC/ST: Rs. 1,200 + transaction charges.
PwBD: Exempted.
